About Brazilian Butt Lift
A Brazilian Butt Lift is also known as Buttock Augmentation or Fat Transfer to the Buttock
When it comes to creating a sensuous silhouette, a brazilian butt lift can give you the lift and volume to your backside that you’ve always envisioned.
Buttock augmentation is an aesthetic procedure that continues to grow in popularity. This procedure is designed to recontour the hips and buttocks to result in a more defined hourglass shape. It enhances the appearance of your own figure by using your own body fat.
Once you’ve decided that fat transfer to the buttocks is the best fit to properly address your goals and concerns, your surgeon and the medical team will also have a conversation with you about your recovery during the pre-op appointment and on the day of your surgery.
The recovery period after brazilian butt lift surgery is vital to achieving your long-term aesthetic goals as the surgery itself. If you are not sure where to start, ContourMD® is here to help. The design of our brazilian butt lift compression garments are tailored to compliment your aesthetic needs and individual anatomy. ContourMD© provides high-quality butt augmentation compression garments that will cater to your individual needs with compassionate comfort, desired body contour and shape, and soothing relief to the skin.
The Stages of Healing
Learn about the stages of healing and what your body goes through after surgery to understand why the right brazilian butt lift compression garment is critical to reaching the results you are looking for.
Stage I Garment
3-4 weeks after surgery
The healing process begins immediately after your Brazilian butt lift surgery surgery.
Once the procedure is finished, bandages, a compression garment and surgical drains are placed and adjusted to ensure proper fit by the surgeon or someone from the medical team.
A Stage I buttock augmentation compression garment promotes healing by lessening the amount of fluid build-up, reducing swelling, and preventing bruising. It can provide stability to the treated areas, while also keeping the surgical site together. This will improve the outcome of the body’s contour, and minimize the appearance of scarring. The compression garment will also reduce the risk of infection.
During Stage I, you should wear this garment at all times, except when you’re either bathing or in the shower. This is very important because it takes three to four weeks for the transferred cells to take and grow their own blood supply. For about three weeks following surgery, you also shouldn’t sit or apply any type of pressure to your buttocks, so you may need a soft pillow to protect your backside.

Stage II Garment
4-6 weeks after Stage I
Gradually, as you recover you should notice less and less fluid in the tissues.
This is when you will want to switch to Stage II for your brazilian butt lift compression garments.
A Stage II compression garment will help in keeping optimal compression on the treated area(s). This should improve your comfort level significantly, so you’re able to return to some lighter activities. Before your surgery, your plastic surgeon will go through all of this with you, and will also be given detailed post-op instructions. If instructions are followed and your buttock augmentation garment is properly worn, there will be noticeable and immediate improvement. It is crucial to wear your compression garment after surgery to achieve optimal results.

Stage III Garment
1-4 weeks after Stage II
Many patients aren’t ready to end the garment process, so they choose to wear a Stage III garment for comfort and to optimize their results.
This stage is about maintaining an overall look and feel that is desired by the patient. Stage III garments, also known as Shapewear are mainly worn by patients who want their most desired look.

Buttock Augmentation Surgery
A brazilian butt lift is performed under general anesthesia. In the beginning of surgery, tiny incisions for liposuction are created so that the small cannula can break up the unwanted fat deposits. Liposuction is performed to remove the excess fat from the problem areas of the body. The healthiest fat cells extracted are then purified and harvested for the fat grafting technique. Finally, your surgeon will perform the fat transfer – where the fat will be injected into different layers of the tissue around the buttocks.
When your surgical procedure is finished, a compression garment and surgical drains are placed by the surgeon or someone from the medical team. The surgeon prescribes pain medication(s) to minimize any discomfort after surgery. Depending on your surgeons instructions, it usually takes around three to four months for swelling to subside and to reveal your results. It is also important to refrain from any strenuous activity for a minimum of at least six weeks after surgery.
What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
A brazilian butt lift reshapes the buttocks to create a natural, contoured silhouette. It often begins with liposuction at the flanks, which creates a slimmer waist. Then the fat is injected into the buttocks to create curves with added shape and volume to the derriere.
Some of the cosmetic benefits of buttock augmentation surgery include enhancing the curves of your backside, creating a more contoured and shapelier silhouette, allowing your clothes to be better fitting, lifting your buttocks, while adding shapelier fullness, and improving the overall shape of your buttocks
A brazilian butt lift can manage and help with the following cosmetic concerns:
